Terms & Conditions

1. All goods are supplied subject to the following conditions and availability. Alternative equipment may of offered in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
2. Goods at all times remain the property of CATERHIRE (The Company).

General


3. The customer is responsible for any loss or damage to goods from the time of receipt until the time of collection by The Company or return by the customers to The Company premises. Goods left unattended at other premises are left at the Customers' own risk.
4. Any query as to the goods delivered should be made to the Company immediately by telephone. Should no such notification be received The Company requests that the Customer accepts our assessment of any loss or damage if any.
5. When breakage or losses occur, no substitute items can be accepted unless like for like. A list of replacement costs are included within this price list.
   All cartons, boxes and packing are to be returned. Wooden packing Boxes will be charged at £45.00 each, blue glass boxes at £15.00 each and green plastic packing boxes at £12.50 each. Manufacturers cardboard cartons will be charged at £2.50 each. Damage caused by wet/dampness will be charged for.
6. Tableware has been stored in warehouse conditions and may require washing prior to use. Every effort is made to ensure that this is not necessary. We reserve the right however, to charge for the cleaning of equipment returned in a dirty condition. Special attention should be made to STAINLESS STEEL AND SILVER PLATED items. Please wash immediately after use especially when acidic dressings have been used. LINEN is especially vulnerable and any stains should be rinsed and dried. Do not use bleach. Do not pack away when damp as within hours it can be completely ruined by mildew.
   Please note that BONE CHINA WITH A GOLD BAND is NOT dishwasher-proof and plates should not used with plastic buffet plate clips.
7. No responsibility can be accepted for damage caused by mis-use of the equipment hired. Particular attention should be paid to surface on which water boilers, burners and hot cupboards are standing. It is advised that an electrician be consulted before using any electrical equipment such as boilers at outdoor sites eg. Marquees, especially in damp conditions.
